Steward - The Organising Representative

Due to the changes in the funding the stewards training will now be over 5 days only. They are as follows

2, 9, 16 , 23 & 30 March
18, 25 May 1, 8 & 15 June
14, 21, 28 September 5 & 12 October

H&S Stage 1 - Bristol

Course include: role and functions of the health & safety Rep; organising for health & saftey; preventing accidents and ill health; skills for health & safety rep.

10 Tuesdays from 8 May

H&S Stage 2
Next Steps for Saftey Reps

Course include: building a safe and healthy workplace; building health & safety organisation; keeping up to date on health & saftey, effecting change on health & safety.

10 Thursdays from 10 May

Please be aware that as part of your H&S training you be required to attend the 5 day UNISON Stewards course.

The next Equalities training will be in Taunton on 19 -21 March.

ULR

A new type of union activist, the Union Learning Representative (ULR), has been instrumental in raising interest in training and development, especially among the lowest skilled workers and those with literacy and numeracy needs.
