Bristol UNISON's AGM 2025
We are excited to invite you and all Bristol UNISON branch members to this year’s Annual General Meeting and encourage you to come along to take an active role in shaping your union. You’ll be voting on motions, scrutinising branch finances and finding out more from the branch officers and activists who represent you.
We have decided in order to maximise attendance we will hold two meetings, One online and one in person, at City Hall

About the AGM
At both meetings there will be a raffle with a top prize of £50 in High Street vouchers.
Both meetings will have a guest speaker and an opportunity to meet fellow members and shape the branch for the year ahead. If you come to the Wednesday meeting at City Hall you’ll also get to tuck into a fantastic buffet of food. Let us know which you’ll be attending (you only need to come to one) by registering using the details below.
Hold the date
We have decided that in order to maximise attendance we will hold two meetings (but you only need to attend one):
February 18th 2025 at 12.30pm via Teams. Our guest speaker at this meeting will be confirmed shortly. A Teams link will be sent to you closer to the date of the meeting. Teams can be accessed on a computer, tablet or mobile phone. You will need to install the application beforehand.
February 19th 2025 at 5.30pm at City Hall, BS1 5TR. Our guest speakers at this meeting will be announced shortly, you’ll also get to tuck into a fantastic buffet of food. Doors will be open from 5.00pm to ensure a prompt start
The meetings will last approximately 90 minutes.

How to register/attend
To register for our AGM, please enter your Invitation code below and click register, if you haven't received a code please contact us as soon as possible.
You will then be asked to enter your contact details to register for the event. We will send you reminders in the run up to the event via Email & SMS, and you will receive the Joining link ahead of the meeting if appropriate.
Electing your Branch Officials and Workplace Reps
One of the most important functions of the AGM is to elect officials to lead the branch for the year ahead. A whole range of different jobs are available in the branch each one of carries a really important set of responsibilities. Whether you’re face to face with managers in negotiations, representing members in a disciplinary, or helping members with a welfare claim, all are necessary to create an effective union team.
You can nominate yourself or other members for any of the following roles

The nomination window has closed, it was open from 26th November 2024 - 31st December 2024.
Motions and Rule Changes
If you would like to submit a motion for consideration or a change in the rules of the Branch please do so by Monday 10th February and submit to bristol.unison@bristolunison.co.uk

We recognise that to ensure all of our members can fully participate it may be necessary to make adjustments, if you require any adjustment please contact the branch and we will discuss your requirements.
